Theory of Diamonds Three

I hope that NH students after receiving the various trainings given to them, can shine brighter when compared to several other thousand of diamonds.

The 4 years of training and activities in NH, aims to provide students with different type of opportunities or them to have different experiences. These are just like when a good diamond is able to undergo different type of cuts under the skillful workmanship of a diamond crafter.

NH hope that these students understand, while they may be busy and tired under different school activities and programme, at the end of the day they will appreciate that they are going to be the more shiny diamond as compared to others who has less opportunities to experience.

Theory of Diamonds Two

Comparing glass and diamond, they look alike if you cannot identify or appreciate them, you are unable to differentiate the two.

I always believe that I can appreciate a diamond and distinguished between the two. To me NH students are all different types of diamonds. They are not glass therefore, after being 4 years in NH under the different type of trainings and opportunities given to them, these are like diamonds being polished and made into different cuts.

They will be more shiny(more mature, well equipped), NH hope that after they leave NH they are like diamonds shining with their own uniqueness.

Theory of Diamonds One

Students to me are like Diamonds. A diamond has 4 Cs: Carat(size),Cut,Colour and Clarity. When a students come to NH, I cannot change their genes(CARAT) but NH is able to provide opportunities for them to learn as much as possible under holistic development.
Such as: C.I.P, Leadership training, international immersion programme, thinking programme, IT etc.

These are opportunities to give them their CUT(different type of training) and also CLARITY(clarity of thoughts) and COLOUR (different experience). So when they leave NH, they the Diamonds will possess the 4 Cs.

Breakfast

Had breakfast with my family this morning, before I fly to India for business trip. We had two eggs, two toast bread, two plates of fried bee hoon, one lasi lemak, 1 milo, 1 coffee, 1 tea and 1 ice water in total.

Just before we headed out, we saw the news on the terrorist.. that everyone will receive the sms regarding this case. I think it is important for all of us to do our part, so that SG can once again be safe. The outburst of this causes some distress, no doubt about that, but so far whatever problem SG had faced, we managed to get through in one piece. So this time, I have confidence that we will also get through this in one piece.

It's a small country, but we always had vision to have some bomb-sized news and "adventures". This is the way SG had survived all these years I think.

The Zodiac

The Monkey and the Dragon

The difference between the monkey and the dragon is that the monkey spends money. The dragon drank milk, which was let's say, $4.. but the monkey drank soy bean powder, let's say $15.

The dragon never use the pessifire but the monkey did.

The monkey needed the sarong to sleep(electrical ones) but the dragon did not.

And i saved my monkey from falling when I caught her once when she was young.

Monkey put braces and dragon did not.

The dragon only had Nikon lens for spectacles later on, but the monkey had it at a very young age.

See the difference? Well.. just for laughs.. :)

Tennis

Today I taught my 2 daughters tennis...

Before that, I brought my youngest daughter to shop for the sports gears. We bought 2 rackets, 9 balls and also a bag, a cap and a pair of sandles.

We guessed my eldest daughter's reaction. I predicted she would be excited and said, "WOW! You bought tennis!! Cool!!"

Who know it turns out her reaction was cool, calm and collected. only said, "Orh, you brought tennis. Aright"

When my daughter carried the sports bag, with the tennis racket in her hands, dressed in a very casual but smart sports wear, she looked like a pro tennis player. My eldest daughter was dressed in bright colours: white top and gray shorts. My youngest daughter was in total navy blue.

I taught them how to start the balls, they were pretty gd for the first time. Next lesson, I'll teach them to catch incoming balls. I know that they have enjoyed their game.

I prefer them to play tennis more than computer games. But I know this is only my dream. But it never hurts to exercise more as I excel in badminton and quite a fair tennis player.
